Wyndham O.C.’s new owner plans $14 million renovation
The overhaul of the Costa Mesa property is expected to be completed early next year.

Wyndham Orange County, under new ownership with the Wincome Group, will undergo a $14 million renovation that’s slated for completion early next year.
Located on Avenue of the Arts in Costa Mesa’s thriving arts district, the property was purchased in November 2009 by the 60-year-old multinational hospitality and real estate group.
The redesign of its 238 guest rooms and 35 suites boasts hardwood flooring, bathrooms with floor-to-ceiling granite, Divine Sleep experience bedding and refurbished furnishings.
In addition, an all-new Elite Business Tech Center featuring multimedia capabilities, a tech lounge and 24-hour access will be available to travelers.
Guests also will be able to take advantage of 7,200 square feet of meeting and event space, a new fitness center featuring a high-quality KLAFS steam room and sauna, an expanded restaurant and a newly designed B Sharp Piano Bar located in the hotel lobby.
Upon completion, the Wincome Group hopes the Wyndham’s transformation will make it one of the premier small luxury boutique hotels in Orange County.
“We are bringing a new standard of casual luxury to Southern California,” General Manager Paul Sanford said. “From the moment a room is booked, guests will discover a distinctly new experience that reflects the unique quality of this property.”
