Wahoo’s Fish Taco, the Santa Ana-based restaurant chain well known for serving Brazilian and Asian-infused Mexican dishes, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with several yearlong promotions. The initiatives include a loyalty card and special promotions on the 25th of every month throughout 2013.
The loyalty card will reward customers who visit a Wahoo’s location every month by giving them a chance to win a grand prize at the end of the year. Customers who dine at any Wahoo’s location on the 25th each month will be able to take advantage of a monthly promotion. The January deal, available this Friday, offers the chain’s signature fish tacos for 25 cents each.
So far, Wahoo’s has announced about three of the company’s promotions this year, including this month’s. In February, customers will receive a scratcher card during their visit for a chance to win a surprise menu item. On March 25th, the restaurant will reveal a new menu item, and customers will have the opportunity to participate in a food-naming contest.
“What better way to celebrate our 25th anniversary than by connecting with our loyal customers and fans that have helped us become a favorite in communities across the nation,” said Wing Lam, cofounder of Wahoo’s. “We are proud to continue to serve our unique menu, participate in community events and offer our supporters many opportunities to win free food and much more.”
The popular chain currently has nearly 60 locations in seven states, including New York and Hawaii. New locations are set to open in Highland Ranch, Colo., Woodland Hills, Calif., and two locations in Henderson, Nev. The company also recently announced plans for its first international location in Japan. Wahoo’s Fish Taco has several stores located throughout Orange County, including Aliso Viejo, Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Irvine and Lake Forest.
