The Boards of Directors at the Transportation Corridor Agencies have elected Lisa Telles to the position of acting chief executive officer of Orange County’s toll road system. Telles will lead the

The agencies, or TCA, are comprised of the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency, which runs the San Joaquin Hills Road; and the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency, which oversees both the Foothill Toll Road and the Eastern Toll Road. Telles will take over the responsibilities of former chief executive Thomas E. Margro’s duties on Oct. 1.

Margro significantly contributed to the Toll Roads since he became chief executive in 2007, including the increased capacity of the 73 and 241 Toll Roads. Margro is retiring due to health issues.

“Lisa Telles has a vast knowledge of all aspects of the agencies and has acted as CEO on numerous occasions while I have been out of the office,” Margro said.  “Without a doubt, she is the right person to lead the agencies through the CEO transition process.”

Since Telles started working for the Transportation Corridor Agencies in 1988, she has served as a public affairs intern and a chief communications officer, and also oversees programs that educate the general public and government officials about the benefits of the Toll Roads.
