The Resort at Pelican Hill ranked as Southern California’s Top Resort
The Newport Beach-based resort earns an honor for the third year in a row

Readers of Condé Nast Traveler have ranked The Resort at Pelican Hill as Southern California’s Top Resort, earning the luxury Orange County vacation destination a top regional honor for the third year in a row. The rankings, based on the 2012 Reader’s Choice Awards, gave the Pelican Hill Resort a score of 96.1 to top the list of Southern California Resorts.
“We are delighted to be the first and only Southern California resort to earn three consecutive top honors, including a top national ranking, from Condé Nast Traveler readers, who are certainly among the world’s most discerning travelers,” said Giuseppe Lama, managing director of Pelican Hill.
Condé Nast also named Pelican Hill as the Top U.S. Resort in 2011 and the Top Golf Club Resort in the world in 2012. Readers also ranked The Spa at Pelican Hill as California’s Top Resort Spa in the annual Spa Poll that was published in the June 2012 issue.
Since it opened in 2008, The Resort at Pelican Hill has also earned honors from Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report, Travel + Leisure, Wine Spectator, Golf Digest, and The Los Angeles Times.
The ranking and recognition will be published in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
