When completed, the hotel at 33711 Camino Capistrano will provide amenities sought by business and pleasure travelers alike. Aubrey Cook Mcgill Architects, based in San Diego, has engineered the hotel with colored concrete walkways that meander throughout the hotel, complimenting the beauty of the native California plants. The 91,500-square-foot property will house 150 guest rooms and suites, a 1,500-square-foot meeting space and a 1,000-square-foot fitness center. A putting green, fire-pit and resort style pool will be situated on the edge of the bluff, giving a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. R.D. Olson Development has gained standing as a leading hotel developer and has completed five Marriott projects in the West Coast and Hawaii. R.D. Olsen will retain ownership of the hotel through its related entity, Camino Capistrano SPE, while hotelier Marriott International will manage it. The project is expected to be completed early next year.
