![]() The Feather SHINE, one of Incipio's new cases for the iPhone 5 “The iPhone 5 is everything we had hoped for and more,” said Andy Fathollahi, chief executive officer of Incipio. “We are thrilled to announce our best product line in the history of the company. The line is designed to complement, enhance and protect this next-generation Apple device.” Three of the cases will incorporate Plextonium, Incipio’s specially trademarked blend of polycarbonate, and the company promises that all of its new models will deliver superior protection from scratches and unexpected falls. The cases will also be available in a variety of bright, trendy colors. The iPhone 5 will be longer and thinner than the previous iPhone model, and it will feature a redesigned charging port. These changes will force users of the new iPhone to purchase all new accessories to accommodate the device. Incipio will debut several other case designs for the phone in coming weeks. Since its presentation to the public last Wednesday, presale orders for the iPhone 5 have soared. During the first 24 hours after its announcement, Apple received more than 2 million orders for the device, more than doubling the one million pre-order record set by the iPhone 4S one year ago. Some analysts predict that as many as 6 million units may be sold during the phone’s debut weekend.
