iPad mini owners will have a lot to choose from when it comes to cases.  Two companies, Incipio and The Joy Factory, both headquartered in Irvine, have released new cases for the iPad mini to be ready for purchase by late October and early November. With Apple’s new iPad mini weighing in at 10.9 ounces and showing off a 7.9-inch screen, the hot new tech toy is expected to hit the market Nov. 2 and these new cases will be ready.

Incipio has four new cases available right now. The Lexington is made from a rigid Plextonium frame and vegan leather.  The cover folds two ways for easy viewing and typing positions. The LGND, is made from the same Plextonium and vegan materials, but comes with an origami inspired folding options and the magnetic front closure.

Incipio’s NGP has a Next Generation Polymer that protects the iPad mini from impact and scratches, plus has a smooth matte finish to easily grip. The Feather also has the Plextonium for lightweight protection and soft touch finish but is the lightest of them all by being 1 mm thin.

The Joy Factory has made updates and new designs of its products for the iPad mini that go right along with their older products. The SmartSuit Mini Hard Case is similar to the same version for the iPad that snaps on easily to the back. The cover folds into multiple angles for watching movies, videos or for whatever iPad activity needed.

The Joy Factory also offers the Denim model, a similar case with similar functions as the company’s other products, but has the jean-style exterior that comes with a large pocket for carrying notes, business card, and other necessities. The JouJou case features a new folio stand with a built-in alarm clock. The sleeve-style synthetic leather case protects from scratches while converts into a stand for four different viewing angles. The Fizz is very similar to the others but has a slim hard shell back to offer further protection. Lastly is the iPad Smart Cover-Compatible Snap-On Back, which is just like the old ultra-thin polycarbonate cousin of the iPad but now available for the iPad mini.
