As part of a restructuring of its technology and security infrastructures, Farmers & Merchants Bank has unveiled a new mobile banking app, increased security and new “smart” ATMs. The initiative allows account holders greater mobile accessibility to their funds as well as ensures more secure automatic transactions.
“F&M is concentrating on enhancing it’s online and mobile banking services to provide our customers the same convenience and security larger banks offer, while holding true to our community roots,” said Ken Nagel, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for F&M.
The new app is available on the iPhone, Android, iPad and iPod Touch. It includes image capture check deposit, view account balances, search recent activity, funds transfers and find close ATMs or branches.
The bank’s new line of “smart” ATMs ensure secure deposits and withdrawals. Deposit slips and envelopes are no longer needed and the new machines print scanned images of check on the back of receipts. They also accept up to 30 bills and 10 checks.
“Since its founding in 1907, F&M has prided itself on superior customer service and personal relationships while remaining in step with new innovations,” said Dan Walker, F&M’s chairman and CEO. “Banking has changed dramatically over the years, but F&M has remained true its core values of service, loyalty and integrity, always providing customers peace of mind and now bringing banking into the palm of their hand.”
