Coulson, president of MIND’s education division. “The work of these amazing school administrators and visionary business leaders demonstrates how we can overcome any education system challenge and effectively give today’s students the powerful mathematical thinking tools to become tomorrow’s innovators and problem-solvers.” Since 2009, Emulex has donated more than $1 million to MIND’s Orange County Math Initiative and has supported the organization for more than 10 years. It was one of the key players in raising $5 million in order to bring its ST Math program to 107 of the schools most in need of support in Orange County. “Emulex is committed to fostering education in the sciences, mathematics, engineering, and the arts, because the students of today will become the engineers, technologists and innovators of our future,” said Jim McCluney, CEO of Emulex and member of the MIND board of directors and executive committee. The gala, co-chaired by Simone and Bruce Chapman and Ruth and John Evans, is expected to house 400 people. The event will feature presentations, auctions, musical performances and a Fund-a-School program to raise money for math education.
