![]() • CEO, OAKLEY Age: 15, or so he claims, adding, “My mom totally lets me drive.” Status: Most definitely married Interesting factoid: He’s the first Californian to roll a military tank – intentionally. Number of sunglasses he’s lost in the past year: None. They are Oakleys, so they are treated with respect. The future of Oakley: “Make wicked cool stuff, have a ton of fun doing it and make enough money to pay for the first two.” Sports: Sailing, scuba diving and hammering away with high-caliber assault rifles. Despite a recession that has hammered much of the apparel industry, Chief Executive Officer Colin Baden led Foothill Ranch-based Oakley last year to a double-digit increase in sales to more than $1.1 billion. Not bad for his first year at the helm. (Baden was the longtime president of Oakley and took over as CEO last July). And 2010 looks great, too, for Oakley, famous for its innovative sunglasses and sports apparel. To keep the momentum going, Baden has started a training program called Global Sales Development, which is designed to show retailers why Oakley sunglasses are worth their ultra-premium ranking, and he is expanding the company’s marketing efforts overseas in countries such as China and India. (Turns out, cricket players love their Oakleys). OCMETRO'S 2010 HOT 25 HONOREES Michael Stebner | Jim McCluney | Robert Braithwaite Denise Hazime | Mark P.
