Garry Ridge, co-author of “Helping People Win at Work,” will host a discussion as part of Cal State Fullerton’s Family Business Council program today. He will highlight his keys to running a successful family business.
The goal of the program is to provide attendees with tailored information that will give them the proper tools to run and maintain a successful family business.
Ridge, a teacher at the University of San Diego’s Executive Leadership program and president of the WD-40 Co., will cover topics such as hiring the right people and implementing a unique performance review system for employees.
In addition to Ridge’s ongoing success, he has been honored with a number of awards, including his selection as Director of the Year for Enhancement of Economic Value by the Corporate Director’s Forum. In addition, he has served as the national vice president of the Australian Institute and the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association
Cal State Fullerton’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics is sponsoring the Family Business Council event, which begins at 4:30 p.m. Admission for first-time family business attendees is $50.
