When Vivian Keena founded Aliso Viejo-based Alternative Technology Partners, a firm specializing in enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management, the recession was in full swing. It was 2009, and companies across the county, state and nation were suffering. But this 20-year veteran of the industry didn’t want to wait another year to pursue her passion. It turns out the timing was perfect. Within the first 12 months of launching the company, Keena had connected with hundreds of companies in urgent need of the expertise and service levels they could gain from Alternative Technology Partners. The company, which recently opened an office in Austin, Texas, now has more than 25 employees and serves more than 250 customers in a wide range of industries.
